200 First XVIII Games

It's a big weekend for the red and white with Brad Crowther clocking up a huge milestone of 200 First XVIII games in the red and white. We also congratulate Brianna Armitage on 150 club games and Jake Bell with 50 club games.

The name Crowther is synonymous with the Katunga Football Netball Club. Brad’s Father Neil, having played 192 First XVIII games, 50 Reserves games and played in 6 Premierships was a great contributor to the KFNC. Brad, better known as “Chinga” to most has come through our junior ranks to become one of the clubs hardest nuts putting his body on the line at every contest. Chinga’s attack on the footy is fearless and at time he looks to have little regard for his body by putting his head over the footy leading by example in every game. Ching has been a great leader on and off the field having been vice captain on a number of occasions along with being voted captain for two years before heading into Numurkah for two years to try his luck. Returning to join his PDFNL League B&F A Grade netball playing wife Rache and children Connor and Milla to play with the swans in 2022, he took his leadership to the next level taking on the senior assistant coaching role. He was also adept at organising a good end of season footy trip which cemented his reputation as a terrific club man! In 2023 Ching took on the Senior assistant coaching role in a more formal manner taking his duties to the next level having taken the reigns over preseason preparations of which he did with great success building his coaching skills along the way and gaining great respect from the playing group. A hard-working family man, Richmond supporter and a genuine good guy we wish Ching all the best for his 200th 1st XVIII game and look forward to celebrating hopefully with a win against Katamatite this week at Katunga!
